St. Patrick's Day!

Wed, 7th Dec 2016

Everyone is a little Irish on St. Patrick's Day! Most of us don't need an excuse to party. Of course, it does help to have some sort of an excuse and St. Patrick's day gives us the green light, one that's complete with green beer, green eggs, and plenty of Irish food options, too! Dining Joint can help steer you on the right course to finding your own pot-of-gold, just be sure to wear green and find a safe ride home!

Notorious Burgers - Carlsbad
Green Beer, Shamrock Milkshakes, Guinness-braised Corned Beef - you get all that and more on St. Patrick's Day at Notorious Burgers in Carlsbad. The O'Irish Burger features the aforementioned Guinness-braised Corned Beef and Brandt Patty, served with steamed Cabbage and fried potatoes. Perhaps you want to feel like a boss or an Irish mobster, if so, go with the Irish Boss, a half-pound of Brandt Beef topped with Sliced Corned Beef, Sauerkraut, Swiss Cheese and Thousand Island dressing.

Poway's Irish Pub - Poway
With a name like Irish Pub, it better be true! Find out for yourself at Poway's Irish Pub, with a special Irish menu and Traditional Irish Music, you'll quickly get into the Irish spirit. Order a pint of Guinness, Paddy Balls (breaded and deep-friend hand rolled, homemade mashed potatoes, cheese and chives) and a Guinness Stew, a hearty stew featuring 22 ingredients such as braised beef, carrots and leeks. You can't go wrong with an order of the Grilled Corned Beef on Rye Sandwich!

Breakfast Republic - North Park
Breakfast Republic in North Park is thee dining joint for the early morning St. Patty day reveler. After all, where else can you start the day with a Lucky Charms Latte made with Marshmallow Syrup and topped with Lucky Charms Marshmallows? A couple of sips of the Irish coffee with two shots of vodka, Irish cream and espresso is enough to wake you up and have you doing the Irish jig! Of course, you'll need to refuel for the long day ahead, so fill up on Irish favorites such as a Corned Beef Sammie stuffed with corned beef or keep it green with Brussels Sprouts and Cabbage with a side of bacon!

Pacific Beach Ale House - Pacific Beach
If you can handle the PB party crowd, you may want to get your jig on at Pacific Beach Ale House, where there'll be St. Patrick's Day-themed food such as Corned Beef and Cabbage that has been slow cooked in their signature Rockfish Red Ale. Try the Irish Lamb Stew featuring Potatoes, Onions, Carrots, Peas, Soledad Stout and served with Irish Soda Bread. Plenty of drink specials, including $5 Jameson and $8 Car bombs, may tempt you to call in sick for work the next day!
