It's summertime and the living is easy, especially while enjoying a cool margarita and a savory meal on an outdoor patio. Let's face it, San Diego offers near perfect weather year round, inviting you to nosh at your favorite outdoor patio with friends or on your own. Here are our five best outdoor patios in San Diego - from North County down to the Seaport Village - foodies can enjoy the benefits of a meal with a view, no matter what kind of culinary flavors you seek.

Davina's Cabo Grill - Oceanside

With majestic views of the Pacific Ocean, this 2nd floor rooftop patio provides diners with breathtaking views of the Pacific, as well as plenty of people watching thanks to its downtown Oceanside location. An extensive menu features popular Mexican food fare such as carne asada tacos that are begging to be enjoyed with a margarita or two. Enjoy live music on the rooftop patio and sway to the beat of the palm trees in the distance.

Solace and the Moonlight Lounge - Encinitas

With west facing views of downtown Encinitas, you can't go wrong hitting up the Solace and the Moonlight Lounge upstairs outdoor patio, especially during Sunset time. The food is just as glorious as the Sunset, with local favorites such as the Smoked Salt Rubbed Wild Sockeye Salmon and the Fried Chicken (trust me, this ain't no KFC!), satisfying the most discerning taste buds. Vegetarians and meat-eaters alike will be equally impressed by the flavors emanating from the Quinoa-Hazelnut Burger. Sunday evenings feature live music to satisfy your ear buds too.

Underbelly - North Park

Situated in the hipster epicenter of San Diego, Underbelly in North Park is poised to make your belly happy with its creative, slurp-worthy Asian Fusion menu-with-a-twist. Favorites such as the bacon-lover approved Underbelly Ramen, includes a soft-boiled egg, char-siu belly (BBQ Pork Belly), Applewood Smoked Bacon and Kurobuta Sausage in a savory, noodle dish soup. The industrial-chic design fits in perfectly with the ultra-hip scene parading on the sidewalk. Open from 11:30am to 11:30pm, the spacious outdoor patio makes for an ideal setting to slurp to your heart's content under the sun or under the stars, just make sure to bring your own spoon!

Panama 66 - Balboa Park

Located in beautiful Balboa Park at the San Diego Museum of Art, Panama 66 is an art lover and casual food lovers dream come true. Noted for its sculpture garden, Panama 66 gets extra points for its impressive selection of local San Diego Craft Beers on tap and cool artsy ambiance. Its open-air patio setting offers picturesque views of the famed California tower as the backdrop. Try the Tiger! Tiger! Bratwurst sandwich or Pork Loin sandwich with a local craft beer and take in the joys of living in San Diego. Hosted live music makes this the go-to spot for both locals as well as tourists. Closed when it rains, but this is San Diego, so we don't need to worry too much about that!

Edgewater Grill - Seaport Village

Sure, Seaport Village is a tourist hot spot in San Diego, but that doesn't mean that locals can't partake in the fun. With unobstructed views of the Coronado Bridge and Island, you can enjoy the views and people-watching atmosphere, while dining on fresh Seared Ahi or 7 days aged Filet Mignon. Make sure to bring some spare-change for the buskers providing the entertainment out front!
